It's about time again to praise Alan Douglas for his
wonderful work with Midnight Lightning, Crash Landing
and Voodoo Soup.

Okay, I'll bite. Why do youi think so?
I realize this is some kinda joke, if not it should be, but what at this
moment makes you utter this?

Save me a piece to nibble on. :o)

I never did get "Crash Landing" because I didn't like the idea of all the
'guest artists' that appeared on it. I assume Mr. Douglas thought the
original tracks weren't "polished" enough for a studio album so he decided
to erase and replace them. I'm not saying it was right, just trying to
understand his motive.

The "Stages" release was good, could have been better. I didn't like the
'sonicQ' thing, or whatever it's called, he used on the SD show. Sounded too
synthetic. I would have mixed the drums differently, too.

The current 'powers that be' have made their share of blunders, too. But
they walk a fine line, in my opinion. Sure, the fans are right there but
they need to sell to the masses, don't they? There is also the idea that
they can't sell "everything" now because they'll be nothing left for
tomorrow.
